THEME:

Theme: Echo, Passage, and Tide

This theme invites artists to explore the movements, memories, and rhythms that shape our inner and outer worlds. Echoes suggest the lingering presence of sound, memory, or feeling—what remains after something has passed. Passages can be physical, emotional, or metaphorical journeys: transitions, thresholds, or transformations. Tides speak to the natural ebb and flow of time, emotion, and experience—forces beyond our control that pull us forward or draw us back.

Whether interpreted through personal narrative, nature’s rhythms, cultural memory, or abstract form, this theme offers a broad canvas for reflection on change, continuity, and the unseen forces that move us. All media, styles, and interpretations are welcome. Your work may address or relate to any of these ideas; it is not necessary to touch on all of them, though you may do so if you wish.

    • Participants retain the copyright and all other intellectual property rights to their artwork.

    • By entering the competition, participants grant the organizers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, and display the submitted artwork for promotional and marketing purposes related to the competition, online exhibition, and future competitions/exhibitions only.

    • By participating, contestants consent to having any text they submit displayed on the website, either permanently or temporarily. This includes artist statements, biographies, reviews, and testimonials. While texts will not be intentionally altered to misrepresent or distort their original meaning, participants agree to allow corrections for spelling and grammar as needed. Additionally, excessively lengthy texts may be cropped for clarity or formatting purposes.

  5. Judging Criteria:

    • Artworks will be judged based on originality, creativity, artistic skill, and adherence to the theme (if applicable).

    • The decisions of the judging panel are final and binding in all matters related to the competition.

    • The organizers retain the right to reject any entry for any reason.

  6. Prizes:
